Funding for Royal Canal Cycle Route Design

Cllr Áine Clancy welcomed €375,000 in funding for the design of the next three phases of the Royal Canal Cycle Route.

This funding announced by the National Transport Authority (NTA) recently will complete the design of the cycle route – which is planned as a leisure, tourist and commuter cycle track from the edge of the Docklands, through Drumcondra & Glasnevin, to link up with the new Greenway Route beyond Ashtown.

Cllr Áine Clancy, who previously chaired Dublin City Council’s Transport Committee, will continue to provide updates to local residents about the designs in the coming weeks and months.
